An
audit will help to determine whether the parish complies with Archdiocesan
policies and procedures and certain Federal and State regulations and
recommend steps to ensure the parish is in compliance.
Areas include:
- Assisting in
establishing Internal Control Procedures when policies and procedures are not
in place.
- Verifying the
accuracy of the accounting records and monthly reporting to the Archdiocese.
- Compliance with
Federal Fair Labor Standards Act, State lottery license and permits
- Compliance with
Archdiocesan Policies and Procedures and the Code of Canon Law, governing
such issues as offertory assessments, employee benefits and the Parish
Finance Council
- Financial management
suggested by the Archdiocese.
