Welcome to the website section for Reconfiguration. This tool has been designed for pastors, parishioners and staff to foster communication during a challenging time for parishes.

Here you will find a section on Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), meeting announcements, new developments and contact information. New information will be made available here weekly or more often. Do check in with us!

You can reach Kathleen Heck, Special Assistant to the Moderator of the Curia, who coordinates all activities associated with the transition for parishes during reconfiguration at rmc@rcab.org or at 617-746-5758.

Blessed Sacrament Is Closing - A Devout Catholic's Perspective Through Poetry:

Quite naturally our hearts are sad,
As we gather together at Mass each day.
To say goodbye to Blessed Sacrament Parish,
Our special place for us to pray.
After many years in the parish fold,
Our church is one that has to close,
But after praying I faced the truth:
Our allegiance is to our religion and not
A parish roof.
So, though I know my heart will grieve,
I'll attend each service before we leave,
Until the day when we depart
With love for God, our new parish,
And faith in our hearts.

Written by Evelyn Sweeney-Toner in 2004 after hearing the news that her parish was closing during the Reconfiguration Process
