Story in the Glass

This window depicts Saint William of Vercelli.  He was born in Vercelli, Italy in 1085.   He settled as a hermit on Monte Vergine near Naples where he formed a community of hermit monks about 1124.  His Benedictine Abbey of Monte Vergione is a popular place of pilgrimage.

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings glad tidings, announcing peace, bearing good news, and announcing salvation.   Is 52:7

Story of the Glass

This window was created around 1880, probably manufactured by a German studio.  It was the gift in memory of Patrick Treanor.

The window is located in the south nave.
